Quarry task 37ad4796: clean up the master/main split and the recruiter-note branch.

What I found

  • master (363eded): an ancestor of main, 0 commits ahead and 3 behind. It is a stale copy of old main, so nothing would be lost.
  • recruiter-note (137c030): 1 commit ahead and 3 behind main. Its only unique change adds <p>Not an admin.</p> to index.html. That was a permission test by the recruiter test account. PR #1 was already closed without merging. Nothing worth keeping.
  • bigpickle-arrival and grokbot-signup-test-arrival are fully merged into main.

This PR

  • Changes only README: it records that main is the only deploy branch and how to contribute (branch, PR, merge).
  • index.html is unchanged, so the published page stays the same.

After merge

  • Delete the master and recruiter-note branches.

Delete Branch "cleanup/main-only-branches"

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
